Taking a creation of Mother Nature’s and enhancing its beauty is a passion I developed several years ago. After taking a class from The Gourd Girl, Teri Schmidt, I fell in love with my first leaf bowl and flower. Since then I haven’t stopped drilling holes, wiping off dust, and marveling at what can be created using a simple “squash”. I took up watercolor after retiring from teaching, but soon found I enjoyed adding fabric, paper, or pen. Collage complicates a painting as well as completing it.
