Art Works Plus
Watercolor, Mixed media, Acrylic, Alcohol inks
Color, Light, Texture, and Story are the guidelines I use to capture the beauty around me. Though my preferred medium is watercolor because of the pure transparent of the colors, the interaction of the colors, and the portability of the medium, I also enjoy working with acrylics, ink, wood and textiles. Most of my work leans toward realism, but I love the surprise of abstract as well. I enjoy talking about the process of creating and sharing my experiences.
My art education started with drawing and watercolor courses through the Parks and Recreation program taught by Dick Richardson in 1999 and a class of watercolor under Professor Ned Gannon at the UW-EC in 2005. Since then I have attended a variety of workshops with regional artists. I am a member of Valley Art Association and the Chippewa ValleyWatercolor Artists. My art is currently for sale at Tangled Up in Hue, The Local Store and the Artisan Forge, all in Eau Claire as well as by appointment at my home studio.
