Karen is a retired teacher and artist from Milwaukee who has lived in the Eau Claire area for over 40 years. Karen works with a variety of media but photography and fused glass are the main media for her art. Her photography spans several decades with both traditional photography and experimental processes. Always looking for variety in her work led her to combine alcohol ink with fused glass. After working with inks on glass and paper, she began to combine them with her photographs. An original alcohol ink painting and a photograph are combined electronically and then printed on photographic paper to create haunting double exposures.
